Est. 1986
Federico Fernández founded the winery. He began this romance with wine in 1986, in Pesquera de Duero, alongside his wife Celia Rodríguez. Since then, the goal of Bodegas Federico has been to harvest excellent grapes and practice high quality winemaking to obtain consistently good wines, made entirely from Tempranillo grapes and aged in American oak barrels.
In Pesquera de Duero, a town with a long winemaking tradition, the winery made good progress. The children of Federico and Celia were born at the same time as the vines were being trained in espalier form, and the winery warehouse filled up with ageing barrels.
With the hard work and dedication of Celia and Federico, the family winery was consolidated, thanks also to excellent local conditions and the traditional techniques our family has always applied.
In the heart of Ribera del Duero, the winery has extensive modern facilities based on advanced oenological technology and design, ensuring the ideal process for obtaining high quality wines.
Today this exciting family project continues with us, the next generation, thanks to the generosity of Celia Rodríguez and Federico Fernández, the winery’s founders.
